My Story
I am a life-long lover of books and the written word. I was the kid who snuck a flashlight to bed so she could illicitly read under the covers after lights out. I saved my allowance money to buy all the books in the Narnia, Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gables series (I may be dating myself as a child of the '70's here). While other kids spent the warm, sunny summer days playing in the park, I would proudly tell my mom as she prepared dinner that "today I read 100 pages!"
When it came time to attend university (yep, you guessed it), I completed an Honours BA degree in English Literature. Today I've branched out and have found ways to enjoy a lovely summer day outdoors but I am never without a few books on-the-go on my bedside table and always there is a book downloaded on my phone.
In my professional life, I have written everything from technical software user manuals to marketing materials to general interest magazine articles. One of my high school English essays was even published as an example piece in a textbook written by my teacher. And yes, the essay was meant as a good example.

I have experience editing novels, magazine articles and student essays. I especially enjoy working with writers who are writing in English, but for whom English is a second language. My goal in editing is always to bring the writer's message to the forefront while maintaining their unique voice.
Most recently, I have enjoyed being Editor-in-Chief of AWA Magazine - a Singapore women's association publication.

I'd love for your project to be my next piece!
